確英多傑堪布：真實的上師安住於內在
我手上捧著的是蓮師代表像。據信，看到此像，就等於看到蓮師本人，而個人對此深切敬重，視之為我們所能見聞之蓮師的實質化現。對於蓮師曾經閉關的洞穴，我們都會加以尊崇並視為最神聖的地方。這張照片攝於帕平的阿蘇惹洞穴，信眾會於此頂禮並以前額碰觸蓮師走過的地面。
The statue I held in my hands represents Guru Padmasambhava. To behold this image is considered equal to seeing Guru Rinpoche himself, and I revere it deeply as a tangible manifestation of the Guru we may see and hear. We venerate the caves where he retreated as most sacred and holy places. In this photograph, I am holding the statue at Asura Cave in Pharping, where devotees bow down and touch their foreheads to the ground upon which Guru Rinpoche is believed to have walked.
這些修持顯示出甚深的虔敬，與此同時，我們也必須認識到，真正、究竟的蓮師，並不在我們之外。真實的上師安住於內在。當我們認出這個內在的自性時，就能領受到蓮師的本然加持，並進而邁向全然覺醒。
While these practices are profound expressions of devotion, we must recognize that the genuine, ultimate Guru Rinpoche is not external to us. The true Guru dwells within. When we recognize this inner nature, we receive the original blessing of Guru Rinpoche that leads to complete awakening.
