Chimé Phakmé Nyingtik Drupchen

Following the auspicious visit by Orgyen Topgyal Rinpoche to Aloka Meditation Centre during October 2018, we are very pleased to announce that a Drupchen will be held at Aloka Meditation Centre from February 1-9, 2020.

We are honoured that 宗薩欽哲仁波切 Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, 乃旦秋林仁波切 Neten Chokling Rinpoche, 烏金督佳仁波切 Orgyen Topgyal Rinpoche, 吉美欽哲仁波切 Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche, 澤珠貝瑪旺佳仁波切 Tsetrul Pema Wangyal Rinpoche, 紮瓦瑞南仁波切 Tsawa Rinam Rinpoche, and the Lamas and Monks of Pema Ewam Choegar Gyurmeling Monastery have all kindly accepted the invitation to conduct this ceremony.

The Drupchen will be on the Chimé Phakmé Nyingtik, a long-life Tara practice revealed by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo. This practice contributes powerfully to dispel obstacles and sufferings of all kinds, individually and collectively, with a profound effect on the longevity of one’s life. It is said that this practice has an immense positive power, not only on the place where the practice takes place, but on every being connected to those who participate, from near or far.

This Drupchen will be followed by the Ushnishavijaya Puja, from February 12-14, 2020. Ushnishavijaya is a manifestation of all the merit contained within the Buddha’s topknot, which is also represented as the wisdom of non-duality. The Puja will involve the making of significant offerings, recitation of the dharani/mantra, and circumambulation of the mandala in order to accumulate merit for the benefit of all sentient beings.

This Drupchen ceremony will involve many invited guests, including over forty Lamas and Monks, with costs such as air travel, visas, insurance, food and accommodation. There are also significant expenses involved to host an event of this large scale, including the hire of several large marquee structures and associated infrastructure, as well as many items necessary for the preparation of the ceremonies. Rather than seeking to cover the costs by asking everyone for a high participation fee, we appeal to your generosity to make this auspicious event possible.

However as a guide, we suggest a donation of A$50 per day. Any additional donations will be very gratefully received. All proceeds collected will go entirely towards covering the costs of this event.
