傑尊瑪 丹津．葩默：要成為修道上的勇士，就必須有勇氣

八世紀印度一位偉大的哲學家寂天菩薩說：我們應該清楚區分驕傲和自信。傲慢是負面的。但自信是必不可少的，因為我們是修道上的勇士。而要成為勇士，就必須有勇氣。如果沒有自信，就不可能有勇氣。如果我們總是把自己貶低，我們就不會有信心。

Shantideva, the great eighth century philosopher in India, he said, we should clearly distinguish between pride and self-confidence. Arrogance is negative. But self confidence is essential because we are spiritual warriors. And to be a warrior, you have to have courage. And you can’t have courage if you don’t have confidence. And we’re not going to get confidence if we’re always putting ourselves down.
