我們不必為自己的模樣感到羞恥。作為有情眾生，我們擁有美好的背景（經歷）。這些背景不見得是覺醒的、祥和的，或有智慧的。儘管如此，我們擁有足可培育的良好土壤；其中可種植任何東西。
“We do not have to be ashamed of what we are. As sentient beings we have wonderful backgrounds. These backgrounds may not be particularly enlightened or peaceful or intelligent. Nevertheless, we have soil good enough to cultivate; we can plant anything in it.”
