吉噶康楚仁波切：跨過火線，達致實相，是修行者應有的態度
"Crossing the line of fire to reach the truth. This is the attitude we, as practitioners, should have.
We place a high value on what we feel in the moment, and we think, 'this is me; this is who I am.' But this 'self' we think is so permanent is manufactured from constantly changing causes and conditions. Once we’ve decided who we are, the causes and conditions have changed, and a few minutes or hours later, we feel totally different and are surprised at how we took our 'self' to be so real and solid. Spiritual maturity requires a deeper understanding, unswayed by these temporal conditions. We must sit and observe how self manifests and ask: does it really exist in the way we think?"

跨過火線，達致實相。這是我們身為修行者應有的態度。
我們把當下的感受看得很重，認為：「這是我，我就是這樣。」然而，我們心中認為如此永恆的這個「自我」，是由持續變化的因緣所產生的。一旦決定自己的樣子，因緣就會改變，過了幾分鐘或一小時，我們便有完全不一樣的感受，並驚訝地發現自己先前怎會將「自我」視為真實堅固。精神層面的成熟，有賴於更深切的理解，也不因世俗的情況而動搖。我們必須坐下來觀察自我的顯現方式，並問：「它真的像我們所認為的那樣存在嗎？」
